Volunteering

  • Registration email address

    We are hoping to introduce a different way for Volunteers to register for the 2026 festival.

    It will require previous volunteers to ‘log in’ using their name and email address.

    The changes are not just for ‘the sake of it’ but so that we can monitor and control the number of volunteers at certain times to ensure we have sufficient people to serve the Customers but not too many that people get bored!

    If you have recently changed your email address, please send your name and new email address to register26@cbcf.camra.org.uk so we can update your details before you login.

    We very much appreciate all of our volunteers and know we couldn’t run the festival without you so we hope you have no problems with the new system but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you do. Use the same email address as above.

  • About Volunteering

    To run a festival of this size takes a lot of work so the more volunteers we have, the easier it becomes.

    It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends while helping people to enjoy themselves drinking the great Beers and Ciders we have to offer.

    In addition to serving Beers or Ciders from behind the long bar, there are a number of other areas that are necessary such as:

    • Door and entrance – welcoming people from near and far; scanning or selling tickets, issuing glasses and site maps as well as answering any general questions;
    • Membership – CAMRA relies on its members to make the organisation the powerful voice of the pub goer and pub managers. Plus you get to ring the bell when a new member is signed up! (what can be more satisfying than that??)

    There are many other areas of work too but these are more specialised and already have their regular members but if you have a particular skill, you will soon be reconised and poached by one of these other teams!

    As volunteers, you are entitled to sample many of the drinks for free, always remembering you must keep a clear head to serve (and charge for!) drinks. If you are working long hours, you will be issued with a food token for a meal from one of the vendors on the field as well as free tea, coffee, biscuits and snacks in the mess tent.

    If you would like to volunteer – whether you have volunteered with us previously or at a different festival or are a first-time volunteer – you will always be made welcome. Keep watching the site for announcements when volunteering registration is open and fill out the form.

    We thank you and look forward to welcoming you to the fold.
